Boo! A summary of Halloween To Kill a Mockingbird
For many, Halloween is the time to brave the crowds of consumers, they masquerade as our villains Favorites and superheroes, and invest in a dental plan. For those of us who are too old (or too sober) to get a Halloween costume yet, now is the time perfect for snuggling by the radiator and enjoy a story of fear.
American Classic Harper Lee To Kill a Mockingbird may not be the first thing that comes to mind but if you strip the story of the narrative takes youthfully innocent and happy summer, the plot is downright chilling.
The story centers around "Boo" Radley, the neighborhood of closure allegedly earned imprisonment for stabbing his father with a pair of scissors. As expected, the townschildren try to avoid the mansion for fear of being seen / kidnapped / barbecue for the prisoner, who has not gone out in public for decades. The heroine and narrator, "Scout" Finch, therefore not too thrilled when his older brother and his best friend Boo begin obsessing about making plans to investigate his lair and macabre storytelling about their crimes. That's enough to make any 6-year-old, wants to change the sheets.
Worse, Boo begins to leave "offerings" for children Finch to find as they pass his house on their way to school every day. These range from the seemingly innocent (but potentially fatal) trifles as gum to laboriously carved soap figures frighteningly accurate – you guessed it – the finches themselves. (Nothing says "reliable" as the height of the children in his spare time.) When a neighbor's house burns down in the middle of the night, Scout, you are watching the disaster unfold on the street, he suddenly realizes that Boo has placed a blanket over his shoulders shaking – and she did not realize he was behind her.
While Boo ghost ability to go unnoticed at night gives a lot Scout food for thought, the real horror story begins when Tom Robinson, a local black cripple, is unjustly accused – and convicted – raping a white woman. If, as the tragedy with a touch of irony, the only woman who accuses him after being caught doing some severe human movements. So when Tom tries to escape from prison, he shoots at least seventeen times.
Scout's father, Atticus Finch, unsuccessfully, to represent Tom in court, earning him the enmity of the local people and hate, pure and simple call victim father, Bob. In a drunken, Bob Finch attacks on children on their way home from a Halloween parade. Fortunately, considerable Scout costume ham – not to mention the miraculous intervention of title = "Boo Radley"> Boo Radley – Saving Bob knife, leaving his brother unconscious, but only slightly injured. Bob is later found dead in the street, and those who can agree to call the death "accidental" to protect Boo.
The end of this title = "To Kill a Mockingbird summary"> summary of "To Kill a Mockingbird and Finches fateful meeting" with the not-actually-all-that-fear teach us Boo Radley a valuable lesson: if you decide to participate in Halloween activities, do not let your imagination get the better of you. But bring a ham costume just in case.
