In the 1960s when a college professor Edward Thorp called Beat wrote his famous book "The dealer, who provided a computer program to count cards.
This led to the understanding the odds of the game, and the rewards that had a chance to please the players and the MIT blackjack team was to use these possibilities to make a killing on the tables.
The game is pretty simple. Both the dealer and the players are dealt cards, and who is approaching 21 wins.
System uses Thorpe card counting and other signs to "beat the dealer. Only through a cover that could bring the 2% chance in his favor.
But the casinos soon developed self-defense against card counters, the same way as they had done against cheaters.
The M
In the 1990s, at MIT, an assistant professor and some students formed a club after school around the mathematics of blackjack.

Mock casinos were established in several places, and all issues discussed and considered, as in a large study mathematics.
Psychological studies were made, both the players and the "house" employees, and all variables were taken into account.

To achieve this had a team that consisted of:
• An assistant. The assistant was the one sitting at the table and the game (always a minimum bet), but in reality was to have the cards in your system.
• The back-helper. This player was the casual observer, that game, who studied the cards and the casino security and supervisors of play.
• The gorilla. This was a player who just played great, and had nothing to do with science, but he began to distract attention.
• The BP (great player). This is an expert observer in game playing.
The team was all pretend not to know each other, but they were all armed with the knowledge of higher mathematics, highly trained and highly funded position.
The posts were also elected by ethnic, such as BP could be a white man, but an Arab, or Eastern, that seem to be the rich and the unskilled players.
The classical method
The observer sat at a blackjack table, always bet the minimum bet, and that the basic application card counting program.
