How do I know what size baseball bat to buy for my child?

I need to know how to buy the correct size bat …. time … … Barrell Drop size and weight …. someone please help !!!!! it is …. 8 year old boy and play field 1 …. if that helps any

You should come to the waist. I do not know about weight. Also, check your league rules for what can be made.
