Is to avoid income tax Moral?
The issue of income tax is a thorny issue. For one thing everyone hates, but on the other, no one considered seriously questioning it. It? S as gravity. We simply accept it as if it were a law of nature.
Well, it must be challenged, and here? S by what. To avoid income tax by all legal means possible is completely moral. And the reason is to understand exactly what is income tax, and what is based.
Tax of a person? S to the income tax is that person? S life. To consider this: When working he spends time and energy. You spend forty hours or more each week of his life to negotiating your life? S time and energy for the money. That money is therefore a compensation for time and energy which is placed in
If the government takes 25% of that money as tax, then it is really the imposition of his life at the rate of 25%, and saying in effect that one quarter part of his life belongs to the state. And if the government owns 50% of your money in taxes (like the UK government has announced as of writing), 50% of his life has been requisitioned by the state.
In order to make this point as clear as possible, consider the plight of black slaves in the early days of America. A slave was one who did not own his life. His work was expropriated by the slave owner. In this situation you could consider the slave? S tax rate income about 80% – with the remaining 20% are taking it as the cost of food and plaque.
So if you have a percentage of 80% tax is slavery – in one? s whole life is bound to a slave – then certainly with a tax rate of 30% or 50% amounts to exactly the same percentage of slavery. Given the option of a 100% slave or a slave of 50%, you can opt for the latter, but would not be moral.
For income tax is to impose one? S life. The higher the tax rate, the greater the demand on others? s life. And no matter what percentage of income tax is charged, which represents a percentage? Slavery?. It? S as the old story about boiling a frog in water slowly, so it doesn? t realize it? s being boiled to death. The long contributor Suffering is like the frog – being emptied and enslaved by grade.
At what point does a self-respecting person stand up and say? No!?? Should accept a 25% rate of silent but agitated when the rate climbs to 40%? If the long suffering taxpayer only complain when it reaches 50%? And if not, what time someone stand up and say? Enough!??
The truth is that no matter what percentage of income tax is a tax that in others? S life. The most taxes, more than one person? s life is slavery.
Apart from the moral argument against this tax, they are also compelling practical arguments. As noted, an income tax is a levy on others? s own efforts. And as such, acts as a disincentive to work. Just ask yourself – what tax rate begins to lose the will to work? And if rates fell sharply, wouldn? t have to work harder, knowing that you are keeping more of their own money?
This fact is well known, of course, and countries with high taxes are always suffering? Brain drain? as the class package business to their bags and head overseas to countries where their life and money is more appropriate.
It? S is not by luck or coincidence that the Chinese work hard. It? S, because countries like Singapore, Hong Kong and China have very low income tax rates compared to other developed Western countries.
As a resident of Singapore, for example, are taxed at a rate of between zero and 20%, with 20% being the highest. If you lived in Hong Kong, which would levy an maximum of 15%. That? Sa big difference.
This doesn? Does not take much thought to realize that a worker in either of these two countries is to be much better than a high income source under the new UK tax regime – where the top rate is now 50%.
Income tax is immoral and impractical, and when it gets out of control, it destroys the very foundation of any successful economy. It also creates a demand for creative accounting, to overcome these high taxes and demand for tax havens and offshore bank accounts – in which a person productive and hard work can find a respite from the clutches of the taxman taxes.
So what? S is the alternative?
There are a number of systems that could be launched to finance government activities – all which is better than an income tax. And here? Sa few ideas just for starters.
Income tax could be replaced by taxes on sales. This would have the effect of eliminating the departments of internal revenue, removing the need for tax returns, and let each dollar of income in a person? s hands – letting them decide what to spend.
Could be replaced by a resident? S Levy – as a service fee. This rate would be the same for everyone, and that will be paid once a year – or even in installments. The bottom line is that the royalty would be like any other costs and part of a person? s current expenses. And the great advantage of doing it this way would be that, unlike income tax, which is taken at source, payment of that money was observed by all. And if the government were to be too greedy and too rate increase, then people would notice and get up to change the government.
Any system to increase government revenues would be preferable for the income tax. Without it, people keep what they earn. A massive bureaucracy could be dismantled. And a much more effective brake would apply spendthrift governments everywhere.
