Why hitters are granted to all protective equipment and pitchers are not?

A batter is ghent protection of the elbows, (allowing them to be closer to the outside corner and remove the resource brushback launchers (although face 92 mph average speed), wrist guards, gloves Special Batting and chin guards, but a pitcher who is exposed ball coming to him more than 150 kilometers per hour is not allowed to use a visible protection. It's not really a question of the batters "grant" protection, while the pitchers are not. The fact is that there are no rules prohibiting baseball them specifically.
